Amandas grandmother passed away in 1997 and left behind loads of costume jewelry that Amanda and her mother just could not bear to throw away.
But, the styles of a 75 year old woman and a 30 year old granddaughter just werent the same.
Some of the pieces were at least 30 years old, but not the trendy vintage piece seen in stores today.Now, they are better than the pieces seen in stores today.
Allison King, artist and owner of Kings Crystals, dismantled the old, out-of-style jewelry and re-made it into a new, fabulous, affordable set.
What some see as gaudy outdated pieces, Allison sees as a great new opportunity for a fashion statement that touches the heart.She started Kings Crystals in 2004 after incorporating her late grandmothers pieces into her own wedding jewelry and bouquet.
The company has grown from redesigning jewelry to creating brand new pieces as well, which can be purchased at local boutiques, online or by hosting a jewelry party.
Each piece starts with a sterling silver chain and toggle clasp, and includes glass beads, gemstones, Swarovski crystals and unique silver findings, including the signature Kings Crystals silver tag. I get many compliments on my new jewelry, says Tammie King, Allisons sister-in-law, whose mother passed when Tammie was only 19 years old.

New Corporate Headquarters Planned for Norris Enterprises
(ContentDesk) May 17, 2006 -- Norris E-Enterprises, a real estate holding company which provides office and warehouse facilities, is requesting $3.73 million in industrial revenue bonds from the Wichita Kansas City Council to finance a new corporate headquarters and warehouse facility.
This exciting new facility will be located at 39th Street North and Toben in the Comotara Industrial Park in Wichita, Kansas and includes a new 22,000-square-foot warehouse and 13,000 square feet of office space.
